"One Tribe" Trailer
Lyceum Theatre, San Diego

This was a collaborative performance between MetZin Mann Edutainment Productions and transcenDANCE Youth Performing Arts Group. It was a two day show shot back in August of 2009. The DVD has been completed, but with the little extra time I had on vacation, I just made a quick 1 minute trailer for the DVD.

Bar Elements
Beyond the Friend Zone

It's been a long few months since I last brought up this video. After seeing the raw footage, it was agreed that we needed to change the story line which of course meant a couple more film dates to make the new script happen.

Thank you of course to Bar Elements for thinking of me to do the video, Janice for being great to work with, STAGE in the Gaslamp for allowing us to film on location, as well as hold our casting call, Derek for allowing us to use his place, Brian for again being my camera guy when I needed you, and of course to all those that participated in the crowd scene. What could have taken a couple hours, was all done in a matter of minutes. You all made the "club scene" look great.

Bar Elements
Beyond the Friend Zone

Finally completed filming the music video for Bar Elements last night. As much as it was fun putting it all together just for a few hours of fliming, the real grunt and fun part begins . . editing!!

Bar Elements
Music Video - PreProduction

In the last month I've been working up some preproduction magic for an upcoming music video that I'll be producing for a local band in San Diego, which is set to come out in August / September '09.  We're set to do our first day of shoot in less than a month, and I've been working hard to make everything as perfect as it will allow.  No matter how small the project, I'm always happy to be behind the camera, ready to tell people what to do, and up to my eyes and ears with doing something I love.  Look out for more updates =)

Freddie Joachim
The Crystals

I've finally had a chance to upload the music video that I've been working on for one of my brother's friend Freddie Joachim. The video follows him though a day of working in the studio. To check out his music video, click HERE .

Here are more pictures I was able to hunt down of the day of the shoot. As you can see, people are signing their life away for this music video. HA HA Thanks to Bryner for the photos he took the day of the music video shoot.

The Shiny Octopus
I'll Be There With You

So here we are and almost three months later after the first initial meeting in front of that coffee shop (do I dare even start plugging places ha ha), the music video "I'll Be There With You" has finally come to its close.

Last night my music video was one of ten shown at the school's screening. As much as I've seen this music video over and over again in the last few months, seeing it up on a screen in front of people I didn't know, had to be the weirdest feeling ever. Then having to stand up in front of them for Q&A was even more uncomfortable. HA HA

Special thanks to the band members of The Shiny Octopus (Arlynn, Rollie, Matt, and Don) for giving me the opportunity to make this music video for them. And a shoutout of course to Cedric who played the man in uniform, Anivey as the daughter, Nicholas as the son (who now refers to this song as "the crying song"), my brother Eric who catered for my cast and crew the whole day, which I even repaid him with a cameo in the music video, and my AD for this shoot Brian Salazar, who always seems to let me tell him what to do no matter what for my productions. HA HA

Take 5 - Break Time!!

Most people who know me will say that I never seem to take a break in life.  I'm always jumping from one project to the next, or looking for another project to get my feet wet in if I find that I don't have enough on my plate.  I will be the first to admit that I have anxiety issues with having free time on my hands.  HA HA

I found this clip when I was going through the rough footage for the music video "I'll Be There With You".  The clip was actually taken during the first shoot day I did for The Shiny Octopus.  If you pay real close attention, you actually see me inside the house walking in and talking to the singer.  (I told you I don't rest ha ha)  As you can see, this little boy has no problems taking a break and goofing off while his mommy is hard at work.

November 1, 2008 - Freddie Joachim
The Crystals - Music Video Shoot

I am currently doing a music video for one of my brother's good friends Freddie Joachim. The music video will debut by the first week of December. Here are some behind the scene pictures that were taken during the bbq/party scene.

Once again, Brian was by my side to be my camera guy during the BBQ scene. I always seem to be the one telling him what to do. I LOVE MY JOB! ha ha

October 5, 2008 - The Shiny Octopus
I'll Be There With You - DAY 1 Music Video Shoot

Over 17 years ago (I'm just giving away my age ha ha) I graduated from jr. high in a small little area called Paradise Hills. One of the girls who I went to school with from Kinder to 8th was always known to have a good and powerful singing voice. Through the years she kept on singing and in 1998 she started her professional career at Disney World as Pocohontas in the stage show. Ten years ago, (I hope this is correct) she joined a band which is now known as The Shiny Octopus. When given the opportunity to create a project to add to my demo reel, the first thing that came to my mind was doing a music video for The Shiny Octopus.

If truth be told, I've seen Arlynn maybe three or four times in the last 17 years. I wasn't even sure at this point if the band she was in still existed. Heck! I didn't even know how I was going to get a hold of her. But as you may have guessed, I made contact with her, and of course after a couple meetings with her and the songwriter, tons of emails back and forth, and a month of preproduction work, our first day to shoot the music video for the song "I'll Be There With You" was set for October 5, 2008.

It was a long drawn out day with filming half of the storyline of the video, numerous shots of the band performing, as well as a sit down interview with them. Lucky for me, I was able to borrow my brother's talents to cater breakfast, lunch, and dinner for my cast and crew. I even let him have a little part in the music video!

The final music video is set to be done the first week of December 2008. But just for giggles, I made an introduction for the band that promotes the coming of the music video. You can click HERE for the short version which basically talks about the song. Or click HERE for the long version of the video. In this version, the band mainly talks about where their name came from, what they've been up to, the music video itself, plus more. On that site you can find photos of the shoot day, but here are a few photos to get you by.
